  • The Stamp has been created and will go into effect in November.

  • NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!!

  • Britain declares the Stamp Act and when it will go into effect.
  • The Stamp Act Congress Resolves
  • The Stamp Act Congress ResolvesWe the colonies declare that paying these taxes to you, Britain, without representation in Parliament is unfair. We do not get to make a decision about what happens in out own lives and that is unfair. For the colonies to be taxed from now on, we must be represented in Parliament and allowed representation and a say on the decisions made about us.

  • The colonists thought that being taxed without having representation in Parliament was unfair.
  • Boycott
  • YOU ARE A TAX COLLECTOR?!?! YOU ARE TERRIBLE! YOU SHOULD BE BEATEN UP!!!!!! BRITAIN SHOULD NOT GET OUR MONEY!!!
  • The colonists were mad that they were being taxed without representation in Parliament. To combat this action they created the Stamp Act Congress.
  • Repealing the Stamp Act
  • Britain will be repealing the Stamp Act from the colonies.
  • Not all of the colonies came to the Stamp Act Congress meeting and no one could decide on what to do so they created the Stamp Act Congress Resolves. The Stamp Act Congress Resolves states that the colonists must be represented in Parliament to be taxed.
  • The colonists started boycotting British goods and some people even tormented tax collectors.
  • England repealed the Stamp Act in response to the boycotting and tormenting.
