- When Montag was taking his nightly stroll he ran into a girl named Clarisse. Montag has a very good conversation with Clarisse, and they connect instantly. Clarisse is a different type of girl, but asks Montag a life changing question.
- Montag finds Faber
- I have a plan!
- After Montag comes home from meeting Clarisse something he never thought would happen happened. Montag felt something hit his foot on the floor and it was Mildred's open pill bottle. He flicked the lights on realizing she was blue in the face. Mildred overdosed on sleeping pills. Montag had to call the handy workers to pump her stomach. The next morning Mildred didn't remember anything.
- Montag gets caught
- You have been caught!
- The firemen come to burn the old woman's house down because. she has been stashing books for years. The women said to kill her with the house. She wanted to die with her books. This really stuck with Montag. Montag also took one of the books from her house, and kept it.
- Montag kills Beatty
- Montag now has a lot of guilt. He tells himself he has been stashing books in the ventilator grill. Montag thinks of his old friend Faber and calls him. Faber hangs up becausehe thinks Montag is trapping him. Montag than goes to Faber'shouse and they come up with a plan. They are going to plant books in firemen'shomes so they get arrested.
- Montag was at work and the alarm goes off because he has a call. Little does Montag know the call is at his house. Mildred, Montag's ex wife pulled the fire alarm they came. Everyone especially Beatty than saw Montag was stashing books. Beatty than tells Montag he knows everything.
- After Montag gets caught Captain Beatty tried to put him under arrest. Montag than squeezes the trigger and shoots Captain Beatty with liquid flames. He kills him to avoid being arrested. Montag then realizes Beatty wanted to die.
