Religion Martin Luther

I am Martin Luther, a teacher of theology at the Wittensberg University. My community also classifies me as a monk and scholar. I was born on the 10th of November 1483 and I was baptised the day after my birth. I, Martin Luther am a strong believer of faith and believe it is the man path to success.

After I had finished my education and study of theology I travelled to Rome on behalf of the Monastery. The Roman Catholic Church was selling indulgences to their society to raise money to build the St Peters Basilica. I was completely appalled by their choices and enforcements in the Catholic Church.I stronglybelieve that this is unfair for those that cannot afford to buy indulgences.

I was very concerned about the selling of indulgences outside the Roman Catholic Church therefore I decided to write the 95 Theses to express my disbelief and concern for those suffering.I nailed it to the door of the local Catholic Church in Wittensberg to portray myattacktowards the pope. The 95 Theses depicted thathumans may reach theirsalvationthrough faith and not deeds.SoI began the protestant reformation to stand my ground and help those who have the same beliefs.

I was largelysupported by increasing numbers ofProtestantsupporters who were all indeed against the Catholic Church. I spread my beliefs andvalues through the word of my society which began locally but soon attracted theGerman rulers andpeasants who looked up to thefeudal lord. After the creation of theProtestantism mysupporters andI were now called Lutherans.

In 1521 I declared the diet of worms which is known as an imperial council that met to talk about the decision of my fate. People involved in this council believed my writings and teachings were becoming a conflict to the Roman Catholic Church. Soon the conflict became more complicated and the Catholic Church gave me a label of being heretic.

After a short period of time I began to gain a large following and my ideas sparked the Protestant reformation which led to society listening to my beliefs and beginning to realise what was right. I, Martin Luther am the beginning of the Protestant Church and will continue to listen to everyones needs to change religion into something for everyone.
