  • We will share our land as long as the war ends
  • Mexico and America were having disagreements about land and it led to a war.
  • Mexican troops cross north of the Rio Grande River and opened fire on U.S. troops at Fort Texas.
  • This war has to end here. The treaty will be signed tomorrow.
  • Mexico gave Texas land but the wars were still happening because not everyone got the same message. The treaty would be solved soon.
  • Everyone tried to agree but they had to have another fight in order to figure out the amount of land.
  • The Mexicans and Americans decided they wnted to sign a treaty to end the war. This would lead to the annexaation of the citizens of Mexico.
  • This treaty, signed on February 2, 1848, ended the war between the United States and Mexico. Mexico gave up 55 percent of its territory, including parts of present-day Arizona, California, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah, to the United States. - Guadalupe Treaty
