DNA
Good morning class! Today we're staring my favorite lesson, DNA!
YAY!
Deoxyribonucleic Acid is used for mainly, storing, copying, and transmitting things. The DNA molecule is made up of nucleotides. These nucleotides contain three things, a phosphate group, deoxyribose, and a nitrogenous base.
There are four different nitrogenous bases.
Adenine, Thymine,
Cytosine, and Guanine. A and T are always paired
together, same goes for C and G. The complete
structure looks similar to a ladder.
Scientists didn't even know what the structure looked like until a Photo 51 was developed, by yours truly.
