- In 1803 Thomas Jefferson purchased Louisiana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and much more for only 15 million dollars. This went down as one of the best deals in history. Really helped the Americans get one step closer to Manifest Destiny.
- Mexican War
- REMEMBER THE ALAMO!!!
- President Andrew Jackson signed a bill that moves all Native Americans from their homes and made them move west. Another name for this was "The Trail of Tears". This killed many Indians but opened up much of Georgia.
- Oregon Territory
- The Mexican army led by General Santa Anna attacked the Americans that were in the Alamo. The American General Sam Houston told the people not to surrender and to fight until they die.
- Westward Expansion
- GET OUT OF HERE AND DONT COME BACK!!!
- The Mexican War was over where Texas' boundary ends. Lasted from 1846-1848. Let Texas have much more land.
- In 1846, America settled the border dispute between them and the UK (Canada) by agreeing on the 49th parallel. This helped America fully complete Manifest Destiny. Gave Americans Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
- Finally! Manifest Destiny is complete!
- From 1831-1877, the Americans from the 13 colonies started taking over the Native American's land and started pushing them west. Tons of Native Americans had to leave their homes and relocate west. Thousands died and a lot of cultures were lost.
