- This was significant for the USA because it gave them another port in which made them stronger. This was significant for France because when they sold their land they had money which was then able to be used for the french war, which gave them an advantage in the war.

- This was significant for the USA because when they kicked out the indigenous people they had much more land that was able to be used for anything that they needed, which could expand the population. This was significant for the indigenous people because it contributed to their heritage/traditions/ways of life.

- This was significant to the USA because this battle led to the victory of the USA against Santa Anna, which is a big factor in the signing of the peace treaty. This was significant for the Mexican people because if they won this war they would not have signed the peace treaty.

- This was significant to the USA because this war made it able for the slave states to extend slavery, which could then help the advancement of the USA. This war was significant to Mexico because if they lost (which they did) they would lose a significant amount of land which, would be bad for the people of Mexico because it would help USA's advancement.

- This was significant for the Native Americans because of this they could immigrate to the Northwest, to hopefully start a new life where they could practice their religion in peace without white people bothering them. This was significant for the USA because this helped them be able to achieve the dream of "Manifest Destiny".

- This was significant to the USA because it gave the US people a fun time. This was significant to the native Americans because it made them resent the US people because they were killing the buffalo that the Native Americans had a type of spiritual connection with.
