- It's the year 2060. Within various disciplines, the globe has altered dramatically. Science is one among them. Scientists have generated various new discoveries and invented numerous unique innovations that have contributed to the current state of science.
- Try getting access to the shrinking machine, it'll help!
- I don't know how I will be able to closely examine the elements
- Dr. Morrison, a well-known scientist who contributed to the development of the shrinking machine, wanted to take his daughter to work one day and saw it as an opportunity for them to bond over something they both enjoy. It was cut short, however, when Dr. Morrison was called to a conference.
- Dad, everything here looks amazing!
- RINGGG!
- As Katie was looking around her father's lab, she saw the shrinking machine and ti caught her attention so she inspected it closely. As she was leaning in to read the caution label, she fell into the machine and it started working.
- AHHHHH
- Katie hadn't merely shrunk; she'd changed into an atom because the machine has particular requirements and detailed instructions.She became a hydrogen atom. Dr. Morrison returned because he had forgotten some papers, but he had shut off the machine, so Katie had no way of getting back.
- ZZZZZZZ
- WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME?!!!
- She notices something approaching her. When Chlorine reaches her, he appears irritated. He tells her she's late and that he's been looking for her, and she's not pleased with his attitude. He has a generally pessimistic personality, whereas she is usually upbeat. He explains to her that they are meant to combine and make sodium chloride.
- What? I just got here...
- Okay so how does this work?
- Whatever, let's get this over with.
- Where were you?! I've been looking all over for you!
- Katie did not want to give him the satisfaction of having the upper hand but she really had no choice. She thought forming a bond with him meant going home but little did she know that was not going to work.
- Well uh here you go...
- Well in order to achieve the octet rule, you need to give me one electron. that way we will form an ionic bond
