- Amos sees visions of God destroying Israel by a swarm of locusts, a big fire, a crooked wall being measured by a pipe line, a basket full of ripe fruits and the destruction of the temple.

- God destroys many peoples homes and everyone is crying for help.
- Help us please!

- God then destroys the Altar and the Israelites are upset.
- The Altar is destroyed!
- God why would you do this!
- God rebuilt their town out of mercy and the Israelites were happy again

- We will never be disrespectful to God ever again.

- This story is relevant to young readers because it teaches them that if someone does something good for you, then you have to give them something back which the Israelites didn't do. They thought they were better than God just after God saved them from being enslaved. It also teaches them that God gives warnings for our blessing.
