  • Long, ago the ancient star exploded. It littered space with swircling clouds of material called nebulae
  • A large gust of solar wind blast the rock and dust into the outer region of space leaving just the planets due to the explosion.
  • Gravity started to draw together the rocks until they became the spherical lumps , called proto-planets that would eventually become our planets
  • The temperature and pressure of the ball of hydrogen gas became so high, that the atoms were starting to fuse, forming our sun
  • a planetismal (around the size of mars) collided with the proto-Earth
  • the Moon formed during a collision between the Earth and another small planet, about the size of Mars. The debris from this impact collected in an orbit around Earth to form the Moon.
