  • How Horney Sees Me
  • I am a very anxious kid, I need someone to love and care for me. :(
  • How Freud Sees Me
  • I am struggling with determining if I am a Homeless man or a proud shed owner. My Ego tells me to become a proud lonesome shed owner

  • I am the oldest child, so i must be rich, smart, and drive a fast car.
  • Karen Horney determined that childhood anxiety yields the desire for love and security. Her purpose was to balance Freuds ideas of masculine bias in Psychology and make it more associated with femininity.
  • How Jung See Me
  • I must nurture my children and bring them love and affection.
  • Freud was a prominent phycologist who created the Psychosexual stages and personality structures. Personality structures are the way the human mind operates in making a decision. Your ID, Superego, and Ego all contribute together to make a complete decision.

  • You need to be open with your feelings, and then you can have acceptance.
  • Alfred Adler was a firm believer in birth order theory. This depicts that based on the order of birth, whether your the oldest, youngest, or middle child, your personality may be affected. For example, I am the oldest sibling so obviously I would be the wealthiest and smartest child of the bunch.

  • I believe I have a very open personality, but I am very Neurotic. I need to work on that.
  • Carl Jung states that the unconscious mind contains a collective unconscious. Collective unconscious is a common group of ideal images or archetypes, that derived from societal experiments. For example, in the early 1900s the archetype of a mother was formulated classifying them as the nurturers.
  • Rodgers had a very person centered perspective. He believed people are all essential good people, unless they are impacted by environment that would inhibit that growth. Genuineness, Acceptance, and Empathy are the 3 steps to grow and enable an individual to be good.

  • Costa and McCrae formulated the big 5 factors. The Big 5 consisted of predicting actual behavior of people through the 5 dimensions. The 5 dimensions are the most popular modern approximation of trait dimensions.
