- Esperanza live with her mother,father,and abuelita on El Rancho las Rosas,a large vineyard in 1930s Mexico due to family land, wealth,and falthful servants,Esperanza has lived a happy and privileged life with plenty of food, dresses,and even whit nothing to wish for.
- Climax
- when papa dies ,uncle Luis also tries to take over the house and when mama refuses to marry uncle Luis he burns the house and the vineyard when he see mama that she would decided that we would move secretly together whit Alonzo,Hortensia and Miguel we would break leave granny behind.
- Falling Action
- when we arrived at the Los Angales camps,I had difficulties to adapt to the bad conditions of the camps and to work, when my mama is sent to the hospital I had to work in the fields to support 0urselves,every week i saved money to pay for abuelita's trip..
- Resolution
- I reached the point of despair and told Miguel That my hopes were being shattered. the next day Miguel disappeared with my savings.
- Finally ,mama comes home from the hospital. A little later, Miguel come home with a surprise;He has brought a abuelita from Mexico.
- After the death of papa I will celebrate my next birthday again, we have gone through many difficulties but as a result I have strengthened and now I also know the humility of the peasants and the change in me I liked my family has returned to be united and i have hope for the future again.
