- One night, Aristotle decided to organize a party at his mansion. The party is open to everyone. After some time, the rooms were filled with guests. And so, the night began……
- I am Georges Louis-Buffon, a French naturalist, mathematician, cosmologist, and encyclopedist.
- I am Empedocles, a Greek poet, prophet, natural philosopher, and a physician.
- I am Erasmus Darwin, English physician, poet, and natural philosopher. I am the grandfather of Charles Darwin.
- I am Jean Baptiste Lamarck, a French naturalist, soldier, and a biologist.
- I am Aristotle, a Greek philosopher, polymath, and works as a teacher, researcher, and writer at the Lyceum in Athens. I believed in the Scala Natura (Scale of Nature). All living things were arranged on a scale of increasing complexity with humans at the top. I felt that all species were perfectly adapted to their environment and there was no evolution/change. Thank you for coming to my party!
- I published Zoonomia which suggested that "all warm-blooded animals have arisen from one living filament." In my poem Temple of Nature, I described the rise of life from minute organisms living in mud to all of its modern diversity.
- My theory of evolution, known as Lamarckism, is based on the idea that physical changes in organisms during their lifetime, such as greater development of an organ or a portion due to increased use, can be passed down to offspring.
- I spent many years studying comparative anatomy. Because of my observations of structural variations in particular organs of related animals, I come up to a conclusion that change must have occurred during the history of life on earth.
- I believed that everything in the universe was made of four elements (earth, water, air, and fire), including living organisms.
