- Don't let it come nearer!
- Put your gun down then!
- A soldier called Ilya finds Feo and Tenderfoot in the forest and threatens to shoot them
- What's happening?
- She's giving birth!
- Black erupts from the woods, growling at the soldier, protecting Feo and Tenderfoot
- Can I watch?
- Swear never to tell anyone you saw us
- Feo convinces the soldier, whose name is Ilya, to drop his gun
- What's happened?
- They've been feeding her the wrong things. Its dead
- Tenderfoot begins to give birth
- Feo and Ilya reach some sort of peace agreement, Feo lets Ilya watch but puts a mark in the snow that he has to stand behind
- Tenderfoot gives birth but the pup is dead
