- I am super excited to be a firefighter for Halloween!!!!
- Honey, we cannot let our little girl dress up as a firefighter for Halloween, that is too "boy-ish" !!
- I AGREE!!! I will talk to her tonight before bed
- That's not true mommy. When I grow up I want to be a firefighter. Don't ruin my dream!!!
- Before you go to sleep I need to talk to you about your costume. Firefighter's are for boys, why don't you be Barbie?
- You're right honey. That's called sexist, which was very wrong for mommy and me. I will talk to her about getting you that costume.
- Daddy "boy costumes" and "girl costumes" shouldn't be a thing. You always say I can be whatever I want when I grow up and that's a firefighter. "boy-ish" isn't even a word!!
