  • Hi! I am Chester, I am going through a similar process of evaporation, it is called transpiration, and it happens when the water from the roots of a plant travel to the leaves and exit as water-vapor through the leave pores.
  • : )
  • The first step in the routine is called evaporation, and it is by far the best!; thanks to the sun's energy, water drops just like us, become water-vapor and get to fly up to the sky to follow our next step!
  • Hi there! Today you will come along and explore the water cycle with us.
  • : )
  • See? I am already a cloud thanks to condensation, hurry up Chester, the next process is going to start soon.
  • : )
  • The next step in the routine is morphing into clouds, which is thanks to the cold air in the atmosphere; we as water-vapor condensate and form clouds, this process is called condensation.
  • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • : )
  • This next process is our least favorite; it is called precipitation, and it happens when the water-droplets that were condensed and transformed into clouds, are too heavy to “float” in the air; forcing them to fall as rain, snow or hail, into the ground.
  • : )
  • Yeah! Falling from the sky straight to the ground ins't really the most pleasant experience, but it is part of the process...
  • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • : )
  • Yes This next process is called infiltration, and it happens when rainfall from the previous precipitation, infiltrates into the ground, this is thanks to gravity, as it forces the water down through the soil. This helps keeping vegetation alive and hydrated.
  • After the horrible felling of falling and crashing on the ground, the processes that are left are actually very enjoyable, right Chester?
  • : )

  • Fun fact, there are vats amounts of groundwater everywhere around the world, this helps with keeping plants alive, helping people to withdraw this water, etc.

  • After infiltrating into the ground, we become groundwater, travelling through the groundwater storage. This happens thanks to the force of gravity and the small cracks in the rocks; which allow the groundwater to go deeper into the ground.
  • : )
  • Before you go, there is one last process we would like you to know. So, we know that after precipitation the rainfall infiltrates into the ground, well, besides infiltrating, runoff happens, this is just water “running off” to lakes, rivers, and oceans. This is vital for the water cycle.

  • That is right Chester, and with this last process we say goodbye, thank you for coming with us today, hope on seeing you very soon, for now Chester and I will wait for the process to start again, good luck!
