- For a very long time, Hercules did not know that he was half man and half god. His mother was the mortal, Alcmene, but his father was Jupiter, the king of all gods.
- Jupiter loved Hercules, but his wife Juno was extremely jealous that that Jupiter had a child with a mortal and hated Hercules. She tried to kill him multiple times, even sending giant snakes into his crib, but Hercules caught them and crushed them.
- Jupiter, enraged by Juno's behavior, sent Hercules to live with a mortal family on Earth. He grew up well-mannered and loved. He got married and had a couple of kids. He was happy, but he did not fit in because he vas very big and strong.
- Hera found Hercules and by using an evil magic spell, she made Hercules fall into a fit of madness. Under this spell, he murdered his wife and kids.
- After the spell wore off, Hercules had realized what he had done. He was filled with guilt although he knew it was a mistake.
- He wanted to atone for his terrible mistake, but he had no idea how. He visited the Oracle at Delphi and asked her for help.
