- The colonists started trading and claiming land in the Ohio River Valley.
- Great Britain and America were being greedy and claiming land on the Ohio River Valley, and France felt that it belonged to them.
- That land belongs to us!
- Eventually the competition between both powers ,over who should own the land, got so bad that in the mid-1700s they fought against each other in "The French and Indian War.
- The French and Indian War.
- The War was originally fought on American soil, but it would later spread to Europe and become known as the Seven Years War.
