- Mr. Brunner tosses Percy a pen that transforms into a sword to kill his math teacher who has become a moster.
- Percy goes home to his mom and his mom decides they should leave. They go to Camp Half-Blood where a minotaur attacks.
- Camp Half-Blood
- Percy defeats the minotaur and goes to the camp. Percy learns that he is the son of Poseidon and that Zeus has accused him of stealing the Master Bolt.
- Percy goes to the Underworld after recieving a bookbag from Ares. He finds out Hades never took the Bolt.
- Hades tells Percy the bookbag Ares gave him contains the Bolt. Percy then challenges Ares to a fight and wins.
- Percy travels to the 600th floor of the Empire State Building to return the Mater Bolt.
