- Hi i'm calling about the TV that you have for sale?
- Yes I have the TV still and my starting price is $1,500

- Okay how long have you had the TV for?
- Jimmy see's a sign that says a TV is for sale with a number on it so he calls the number to see if the TV is still available
- I've had it for 3 years and it still works like its brand new!
- Jimmy calls the number and billy picks up the phone and says he still has the TV and the starting price for it is $1,500

- Okay my counter offer is $1,250 just because you've had it for 3 years, Sound fair?
- Jimmy asks billy how long billy's had the TV for to make sure he doesn't get ripped off
- Yes perfect, I will send you my address so you can come get it now
- Billy assures Jimmy that the TV is in perfect condition and that he hasn't had it for very long
- Jimmy now trust that the TV is in good condition and is willing to buy it but first states a counteroffer bring the price down to $1,250
- Billy accepts the counteroffer and is going to send jimmy his address so they can exchange the money and TV
