- This is the great Schism, and the differences between the eastern Christianity and western Christianity. This happened in 1054 ac. in the city of Byzantine.
- The Holy Trinity is one of the most important things for Christians
- WHat? God is the most important than any of holy sons or holy saints!!
- The reason that the Christians split was because their leaders, the patriarch and pope both excommunicated each other. Basically sending each other to hell.
- .There was a split between Christians in the byzantine empire. It was between the Roman Catholic church, and the Orthodox church. One of the main differences was that the Catholics had a Pope,, And the Orthodox had a patriarch which was appointed by the government.
- The cause of this split was the different ideologies of both of the Christians. the eastern theology had its roots in Greek philosophy. While Western theology had its roots in Roman law.
- The differences in beliefs ultimately split Christianity in two and even today, still influences the Christians in different ways.Though, now of days their relations has improved.
