- Uncle Ho was born on May 19, 1890, into a peasant family of Confucians in Hoang Tru village, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province, where there is a long heritage of resistance to feudal colonial control. Since he was a child, his social background and upbringing had had a significant impact on him.
