- Pop is Cal's dad and they are hobos in the hobo code. Pop and Cal is at the road.

- Cal gets told he is Indian because Pop is creek Indian. So, he has to go to Indian boarding school at Challagi. Pop has to go to Washington.

- Cal starts the meet the people in the Indian boarding school. He doesn't feel as happy and already starts missing his dad.

- Cal misses his dad. Cal goes to a gang and they tell him an idea to meet his dad. Cal got a job with horses. Cal and his gang built a hut.
- The gang told Cal the idea and Cal decided to go with it. Cal and a guy went to the train to go to Washington to meet Pop. He saw Pop with a police man.
- They reunite, but Cal decides to go back on his own journey in Challagi.
