- That's not enough, Now we have the right to nullify or reject both laws
- Jackson's response
- I will ask congress to pass the force bill, since they threatened to secede.
- Jackson passed a law that worked for the North and not the South.
- Jackson tried to lower the tariffs , but Calhoun didn't like it and tried to scare him by rejecting both laws.
- South threatened to secede, Jackson then asked congress to pass the force bill , which lets him use the federal army to collect tariffs.
