New Hampshire:We made a constitution! Shay: CHARGE! Armory: AAAAHHH!!! However, there were many flaws in the articles. For example, there was no power to collect taxes so, there was no money for the navy, army, or debts. After winning independence in 1781, the Continental Congress made The Articles of Confederation saying that each colony would be an individual state with their own laws. Congress: Thesearticles will solve everything! Navy: WE HAVE NO MONEY! After many fails, congress decided it was time to make a stronger government. a government where there is central leadership, a national court system, power to collect taxes and more.
