- Good Morning, Students. Today's topic is evolution of cave man.
- Now, Can someone tell me what was the first stage of cave men and how did they live ?
- Ma'am the first stage of cave men are Apes which are in today's world called Chimpanzees, Monkeys etc.
- They lived in forests, mountainous areas and savannas. They slept in trees and sometimes they also build their beds called nests in tree canopies.
- Very Good, Julie. Can someone tell me what did Apes eat and how did they gather food ?
- Ma'am the diet of Apes are fruits, nuts, leaves. Some apes also ate insects, and sometimes the odd snack of a bird or a lizard.
- Apes generally forage for food in the treetops or on the ground to gather food. They use terrestrial foraging to find plants, leaves and shoots which are edible.
