- This is don, Don is an Ice cube, and with his help he is going to show us the 3 states of matter
- As of right now don is a solid due to all of his water molecules being to compact and tight together that they take a solid shape, and the temperatureof the place he is in is very cold which also causes his molecules to cool and come together
- Oh no, Don look it's the sun, your melting and the reason why you are melting is because the heat from the sun is causing your water particles to gain kinetic energy and move so fast that they are spreading apart and reverting back into a liquid due to your overall temperature rising from the heat
- Oh poor don, back to your original state as a puddle of water, your molecules are back to their original state and temperature as colder temperature cause molecule to come together while heat causes them to spread apart so right now your at the perfect temperature but wait.
- The sun is still out!, your molecules are still heating up and are now moving even faster, and you are now evaporating and turning into gas
- Oh don, seems you've went through the process of vaporization and turned into gas. Now the form of gas you've turned into is water vapor but the process of vaporization you went through was evaporation. This happened because although some of your molecules were at a nice temperature or have a good amount of kinetic energy, other molecules have more kinetic energy then others and are starting to spread apart and break free, turning into and eventually all of your water molecules will turn into water vapor and then you will go up into the clouds and stay there until you form back into liquid water and come back down as rain.
