- What is the Cold War?
- The Cold War was a war between the US and the USSR it was 45 years long and very tragic lots of major events happened in the 45 years , like the arms race , space race .
- Yep that’s the Cold War for you . Well I did my research and Mrs. Lashley taught me this . If you want I can show you a Netflix show about it . The show is called ,What We Saw.
- Well the space race was to get the first human on the moon and the US won but no one won in the arms race because the US and USSR agreed to be nice and stop .
- Wow The Cold War seems wacky I mean like they sent animals to space!!!! How do you know all this stuff?
- Wow that seems so cool . But who won?
- Well that’s because when we dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in world war 2 although the USSR knew we had a bomb we didn’t tell them that we were going to attack the two places in Japan they lost trust in us and were scared
- Why was the USSR at war with us any ways?
- Ha ha, did you know that they sent animals to space? During the space race to test to see if it was safe to go in space they sent animals like dogs,flies,monkeys and many more.
- Wow I thought it was just because they were bored.
