- BACK IN AHUALULCO, SAN LUIS POTOSI LIVED MY GRANDMA, GRANDPA AND ALL OF MY FAMILY. THEY LIVED IN A FARM SURROUNDED BY CLOSE FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
- Though my mom was satisfied with her life, being surrounded by family, she decided to move to the United States in order to get a better future, leaving my sister behind.
- Goodbye, mija. I have to leave you here with your grandma because of the dangerous journey. I'll be waiting for you on the other side.

- I miss Mexico too.. I miss my mother and still hate myself for not being there when my father passed. But being here is so much better for our family. We have so much growth left.
- I can't believe just 10 years ago I was still in Mexico. Now look at us.., I hope we can give our kids everything we weren't able to get. A better education in a place with more opportunities and better safety. I still remember the hot days back at the farm..I have yet to fully adjust to this life.
