  • Introduction
  • Hi all! I'm Puff the Galapoe Dragon. Today I'm going to show you how Natural Selection affected my species over time
  • Speciation
  • Competition
  •
  • Variation
  • Let's start at the beginning. The red Galapoe dragons and blue Galapoe's all lived together peacefully. The environment and food sources suited them both so they were able to survive.
  • Adaptation
  • Overtime the planet slowly started to heat up due to climate change. In turn the yellow flowers (Blue Galapoe's food source) started to die .Also the blue Galapoe's scales couldn't stand the hotter temperatures.
  • Natural Selection
  • This led to the Blue Galapoe's slowly dying out. The red Galapoe's scales were able to adapt/withstand the extreme heat and their food source (The pink flower) could still grow in the higher temperatures.
  • The red Galapoe dragons descended from Colipsoe desert dragons. The Colipsoe's lived and survived in the desert meaning red Galapoe's inherited the heat tolerating gene. Whereas the blue Galapoe's were decent from Water dragons and they could not survive the heat conditions.
  • Eventually the planet's climate settled. The red Galapoe dragons population grew and thrived due to reproduction, and blue Galapoe's no longer existed.
