  • I'll go talk to mom and dad. I'm better with adults anyway.
  • How Freud sees me
  • I really want to buy this candy but I have to go to the dentist soon.

  • I hate being alone in the dark. I wonder if other children are scared on the dark.
  • Alfred Adler believed that birth order had a significant impact on child development. Adler believed that we compensate for traits that are given based on birth order. Children will look for ways to increase superiority within the family.
  • How Rogers sees me
  • There needs to be more good people in this world. Picking up trash can inspire people to do good things.
  • Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic approach deals with the concepts of id, ego and superego. Id deals with our urges and desires while superego is our moral principles. Both id and superego make up reality otherwise known as our ego.
  • How Eysenck sees me
  • I'd rather stay home and sleep than go out...
  • Carl Jung believes in the idea that there are universal symbols that can be seen throughout many different cultures. Jung says this exists due to the common collective unconscious, such as children's fear of the dark.

  • Roger's theory of personality says that personality is dependent on how we perceive the world. Rogers states that a healthy personality is one that is positive and matches society. Humans have a desire to develop to the fullest potential.
  • Eysenck viewed personality from a 2 factor model; introversion vs. extroversion and stability vs. instability. Our personality traits vary between each to form a unique personality.
  • Bandura believed in the idea of self-serving bias which is when we take credit for our own successes and blame others for our failures. This is due to seeing ourselves as above average so we compensate to make it a reality.
