- What?? What does that even mean?
- Oh don't be silly! All you need to do to win is overcome the inertia of the ball and score
- How does that have anything to do with soccer though?
- It's simple really, Newtons first law states that an object at rest will stay at rest, and an object in motion will stay in motion
- I'm glad you asked, basically, when you are trying to score a point through a penalty kick, you must overcome the stationary inertia of the soccer ball to get it into the net!
- Hmm, well when you put it like that it makes lots more sense!
- Well I didn't pay attention in science class for nothing!
- You got this, just kick super hard and make sure that the inertia of the ball is moving and not stationary!
