- vincent, the main character, wanted to go to titan/outer space in a rocket. however, he is an invalid which means his DNA is prohibited from entering gattaca.
- vincent then found a doctor that can help hims become a "valid"by changing his identity.He then was introduce to Eugene,the person he will trade place with. Vincent, eugene and the doctor created a replica of all eugene's DNA so that vincent can use them
- finally, vincent transform into "gerome" a valid using all eugene's genes .He then was able to enter Gattaca, a strict society that holds the mission to titan every 7 years.
- one day, the captain of the mission was found deaD.his death results in an investigation of the entire gattaca.Unfortunately,this investigation lead people into to finding an invalid's DNA which is vincent's
- Vincent and Eugene decided to end their cover since vincent was upset that he has to live as someone else and being cautious of what he does. they both concluded to part ways which lead to eugene's suicide as he felt that he has no point to live anymore.
- vincent went back to gattaca to complete his dream.Doctor lamar knew he was an invalid yet he still let vincent through.This was because he knew how it felt, his daughter is an invalid too.in the end, vincent was able to ride in the rocketship and complete his dream
