- After recovering in the hospital Johnny and Ponyboy went back home and went to court. They were not charged with murder because it was filled as self defense.

- After coming back from court Ponyboy and Johnny surprise the gang with their return.
- Johnny moves in with Ponyboy, Sodapop and Darry
- After Johnny and Ponyboy came they had a gang fight with Socs.
- Johnny's parents were arrested after claims and reports of child abuse.
- After the arrest of Johnny's parents Johnny went to live with Ponyboy, Sodapop and Darry.
