  • During 14-15th century, some Europeans came across Atlantic Ocean and arrived at North America . After them found that America was a rich place, they set colonies at that place.
  • (European) Hello my friend, may I representes my country and set some settlements in your land ?
  • I want some plantations in America, so I can get a lot of profits
  • After the Europeans' arrival, most natives were forced to work in plantations. However, millions of native Americans died because of the bad working conditions and disease. Soon, Europeans found that their labor force(the natives) reduced significantly. They would be out of workers to make profits for them soon.

So, they first went to Africa to buy African slaves at a low cost then brought them to America. Finally, they returned Europe with profits and started to began another "trade".
  • Since African slaves almost had no chance to go back to their home, they just stayed in America and continued to be tortured by their slave owners. After slavery was abolished, they would rather stayedin America and became the first generation of Independent America.

  • The trading system in which Europeans transported African slaves to America was called the Triangular Trade. The reason for this name was that the route of their travel was like a triangular. The most infamous route in this trade wasthe middle passage, which was the route from Africa to America.

  • After Europeans arrived in America with their African slaves, the slaves were traded to plantations and worked in it. The condition for them was still as bad as native Americans. There were a lot of torturing that they needed to endure, like the tireness of working and the scolding of slaveowners.
