Storyboard Text
- The car was going at a speed of 90 kmlh, but I was only going at 15 kmlh since I braked. His car had more mass than mine meaning there was too much momentum for him to stop. This was an inelastic collision since both of our cars' kinetic energy was lost. The collision was so strong it caused me to bump my head and collapse my legs.
- This is the scene after the incident. Dialogue: "I just came out of the hospital yesterday, and I feel terrible. I broke my leg and paralyzed the other, got car glass in one of my eyes, and broke my head. The man who crashed against me is not in such pain because his car can handle crashes better. Not only physically, but I was also emotionally affected. I disappointed my parents who have been very depressed and devastated lately as well as my friends. I should not have checked, the message. I should have turned on the "driving" mode like I now advise everyone to do."
- Dialogue: "My mother and father had always told me about the dangers of driving ever since I got my first car. About how cell phone use while driving leads to 1.6 million crashes each year and 390 thousand caused by texting and driving. Unfortunately, I did not listen. 1 in 4 crashes occur because of texting and driving. I should've listened to them when they said that texting while driving is 6 times more likely to cause a car crash. If you don't want to end like me, do not text while you drive. You can either turn off notifications, put your phone out of reach so you don't feel tempted, or even attach a voice to text and text to speech to your car where you can text without removing focus from the road.
