- Kupe goes to Muturangis house to tell him that there is no fish because of an octopus, Muturangi also has a pet octopus.

- Kupe and some tribe members start to fight the octopus.
- After many hours, Kupe finally struck a fatal blow onto the octopus.
- Kupe then put the octopus' eyes on a rock.
