Tabitha's New Friend

- Tabitha was sad and lonely. Every day, she searched the forest to find a new friend, but no one would talk to her.
- It was always the same story, just a different day. They were either too busy or disinterested. It made her so sad, she even trying making friends with a snake! But, he wasn't interested in being her friend either.
- One day, the forest caught fire. Animals were scared, and running as fast they could to escape. In the all of the ruckus, a poor little field mouse became stuck behind a huge flame. Tabitha, being able to jump, quickly grabbed the field mouse in her mouth and carried her to safety.
- The field mouse was so grateful, she could couldn't stop thanking Tabitha. In fact, she was so happy a small tear escaped from the corner of her eye.
- The more they talked, the happier they were. Tabitha learned that the field mouse was just as lonely as she was.
- It didn't take long for the two to become best friends
