- At first in the beginning of the story the tone is peaceful with nothing else much too it. Then it starts to get boring in the middle . At the end when it reaches the climate the tone is more surprising and releveling when we find out what's really going on
- The message the story is trying to convey is how strong are traditions and how much power they can have over people without them even questioning them enough to change them just because they have gone on for generations in the story when the story some even says something along the lines of " i don't even know why the town still dose it and the town near us has stopped "
- Foreshadowing
- The pacing for most of the entire passage is very slow and drags out a lot of the information like in lines 29-31 there just calling name and taking attendances and this helps the story build up suspense for the end when it speeds up to let us know what's' really going on
- You can identify foreshadowing in the tet when they in the groups mingling and no ones really joyful and they're content and on lines 118-119 say"tapped Ms Delacroix on the arm as a farewell"
