Storyboard Text

  • One rainy day…
  • Xylem
  • Roots
  • My journey begins here at the roots where I will get absorbed by osmosis. Join me on my watercool adventure!
  • I’m now at the xylem! The transpiration pull is now transporting me to all parts of the plant. I’m heading to the leaf cells now! How exciting!!
  • Xylem
  • Next stop: Leaves.
  • Leaf cells
  • Heya fellas. I’m that leaf cell water told y’all. Let me show yer kids how does water leaf(ve) the plant. Listen carefully yeah?
  • Finally getting outta here!
  • The internal structure of the leaf cell is like a sandwich. At the top, we have the cuticle, upper epidermal cell. Just think of it like a bread!
  • Anyway so we’ve come to the last part of the sandwich which contains the stoma which is guarded with guard cells. This is where I shall take my leave to the outside!
  • Next, the contents. The palisade mesophyll cell which contains the most chloroplast and spongy mesophyll cell which has some air spaces between.
  • And there’s the vascular bundle where it contains the xylem and the phloem. Isn’t xylem the long and hollow tube I came from?
  • The end
  • Now I want to eat a sandwich…oh wait I can’t I’m a water droplet.
  • Well, goodbye water droplet. See ya next time.
  • Bye leaf! See you when it rains again! (In like a million months?)
