- In this scene, Saul's daughter Michal is telling Saul that she is in love with David and wants to marry him. Saul is happy because he can kill him now in a way that everyone will think it was an accident.
- Father, I am in love with David.
- Excellent! Now he can have a second chance to be my son - in - law.
- In this scene, Saul sends his servant to tell David that he wants him to marry his Daughter Michal who is in love with David. David said no because he thought he was unworthy to be in the house of Saul.
- Do you think it is a small matter to become the king’s son-in-law? I’m only a poor man and little known.”
- David, Saul wants you to marry his daughter, Michal.
- In this scene, Saul sends his servant to tell David that he really wants him to marry his daughter. However, he is really planning to kill him by sending him into battle to kill one hundred philistines and collect their foreskins to prove his love to his daughter.
- Ok, not only will I bring back one hundred Philistine foreskins, but I will bring back two hundred!
- My king says this, "The king wants no other price for the bride than a hundred Philistine foreskins, to take revenge on his enemies.’”
