In 1620, the Pilgrims arrived at Plymouth Rock and settled on land that was occupied by the Wampanoag people. Their journey was long, and adapting to the new land was extremely difficult, especially during the brutal winter. Engage and educate students with premade activities and lesson plans!

Too Many People On The Ship
Ran Out Of Fresh Water
Grueling Weather
Originally two ships were supposed to set sail. However, the other ship, called the Speedwell, had a major leak and the Pilgrims were forced to cram many additional passengers onto the Mayflower.
Since there were so many people on the Mayflower, they did not have nearly enough water for the duration of the trip. Many people became ill due to the lack of water and nutrition.
The ship endured many storms. One of the storms was so bad, that it caused one of the main beams to crack.
