  • Two battles, 18 days apart. Defined as a turning point in the american revolution. Colonists demolished the British which persuaded French, Spanish, and Dutch to join the Patriots.

  • After British took over the capitol, Washing took his men to Valley Forge to train for their next battle. Many soldiers died due to disease.

  • British Surrender at the Battle of Yorktown marked the end of the Revolutionary War and the start of America's independence. It also helped secure Washington's position as president.

  • The Treaty of Paris was signed on September 3, 1783, and it was ratified by congress on January 14, 1784. It marked the end of the American Revolutionary war.
