- Eric's Interrogation
- Mrs Birling's Interrogation
- Mrs Birling's Interrogation
- Eric returns and tells them that he was the father of Eva's child and that after he found out he started stealing money from the company, which causes Mr Birling to get angry.
- Sheila's Interrogation
- Eric grows impatient with the detective not answering his questions so he leaves. When Mrs Birling finally returns to the dining room, Inspector Goole informs Mrs Birling of Eva Smith's death. After questioning her, Mrs Birling tells everyone of how Eva came to her charity organisation asking for help as she was pregnant and had no money but Mrs Birling refuses to help her. After telling everyone what happened, they realise that the baby was eric's but Mrs Birling doesn't realise and goes on to insult Eva.
- Gerald's Interrogation

- Mrs Birling's Interrogation
- Sheila comes in and is told about Eva's suicide. The Inspector interrogates her and she tells everyone that she met her in the shop. She felt annoyed about her mother's comments about how she looked when shopping for dresses and was jealous of Eva because her mother complimented her. She falsely accused Sheila of smirking at her when she was trying on dresses and forces the manager to fire Eva. She tells them she feels remorseful and promises to never do it again.
- The inspector reveals that Gerald also knows Eva Smith but as Daisy Renton and that she changed her name to try and get a new start. Gerald is reluctant to tell everyone how he knows her but eventually, we find out that he meets her in a bar and after having dinner with her and finding out her living situation he lets her stay in a friend's empty home and begins a relationship with her. This is much to the anger of Sheila who finds out this was during the summer he was distant with her. He says that after a few months he ends the relationship with her and she disappears. The inspector tells him she spent some time away by the sea after the heart break of the end of the relationship
