  • Introduction/Metabolism
  • Homeostasis/Genetic Code/Evolution
  • Cell(s)/Growth and Development
  • Cold season is coming soon, this causes Mr.Cheggs to metabolize, it starts to act because in order to survive the winter he needs to produce an antifreeze. Mr.Cheggs needs energy so it starts eating a lot because it is heterotrophic, Mr.Cheggs turns his food into sugar.
  • Reproduction
  • Mr.Cheggs needs to produce an antifreeze because he is ectothermic (Homeostasis), he relies on his external environment to cool him down or warm him down. This is an adaptation (Evolution) that wood frogs have, it comes from their DNA. (Genetic code) Mr.Cheggs hibernates and goes to a cave (Evolution).
  • Stimulus (and response)
  • Mr. Cheggs is multicellular (Growth and development), he stores urine in his RBC cells that are eukaryotic (Cells(s)). After that has happened he goes through different stages of his called antifreeze.
  • Conclusion
  • BYE MR.CHEGGS!!
  • After the winter season is over Mr. Cheggs needs to go find a mate since wood frogs are sexual (Reproduction). They produce offspring by the female laying eggs and the male placing sperm in them.
  • WOOOW! He might be the one!!
  • I'm really strong !! Look at me!!
  • Mr. Cheggs saved his urine and stored it in his cells because he knew the environment would change when it was becoming cold (stimulus). In order for him to survive, he would have to respond. Which he did by creating the antifreeze. Mr. Cheggs showed an external response, making an antifreeze was because the environment was changing.
  • Now that we left Mr.Cheggs, what other animal do you guys want to learn about? I hope you guys liked this mini-comic!!
