  • HI, NURSE! CAN YOU HELP ME? I AM EXPERIENCING CHEST PAIN AND IT HURTS SO MUCH.
  • Good day, Sir! My name is Tine, I am more than willing to help you.
  • I think it is around 7 or 8, nurse. The pain does radiate in my shoulders and I feel that I am short of breath too.
  • Sir, on a scale of 1-10, how much pain do you feel in your chest right now? Does it radiate?
  • For now, I am going to position you in a semi-fowler's and administer Oxygen and morphine while monitoring your vital signs, breath sounds and ECG tracing
  • Thank you, nurse Tine!
  • Sir, due to your condition, I would like you to avoid doing valsalva maneuver and I encourage you instead to do deep breathing exercise
  • Rest assured, I am going to continuously monitor your intake and output, O2 sat and frequently change your position to help keep fluid pooling in your lungs
  • I feel better than earlier, nurse Tine.
  • Yes. I would like to hear it. Thanks, nurse Tine!
  • That's good to hear, Sir! Since you are feeling better, I would like to share some tips so you won't experience this again. Is it okay to share it with you, sir?
  • I advise that you perform exercise at least 3x a week, eat well-balanced diet and to avoid too much caffeine, sodium or alcoholic beverages
  • How are you feeling right now?
  • Sir, I really hope that this won't happen to you again so please take extra care for yourself. I highly encourage you to adhere with your prescribed medications along with living a healthy lifestyle. Lastly, be reminded with your follow up check-ups and I would like to give you our contacts, so you can contact us anytime you have inquiry.
