Storyboard Text

  • Jesus is condemned to death
  • Jesus carries his cross
  • Jesus falls for the first time
  • Jesus meets his mother
  • Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus carry his cross
  • Veronica wipes the face of Jesus
  • Jesus falls for the second time
  • Reflection: I usually try to stand up for what I believe in, but like most of us, sometimes I don't. I think most of us go with the crowd in a new environment or when trying to make friends. I try not to let others control my thinking, but it can sometimes happen unknowingly.
  • The women of Jerusalem weep
  • Reflection: Although I try not to, sometimes I can be quick to judge or wrongly accuse others. This can happen if I don't know the person or haven't heard their side of the story. When things aren't fair, I try to speak up about it. When people are left behind or forgotten about in our friendship group or in other circumstances, I try to include them in any way possible.
  • Jesus falls for the third time
  • Reflection: some things that cause me to "stumble and fall" are: when people are mean or disrespectful towards me or when things aren't fair or I'm not treated fairly. All of our actions affect others in some shape or form, and things that seem small can escalate and cause bigger problems. Because of this I try to make sure that I am mindful of my actions and always try to make the right choice.
  • Jesus is stripped of his garments
  • Reflection: The people who I love are in my family, my mum, my dad, my brothers, my grandparents, my cousins, and my aunty and uncle. I also "love" my friends, I am lucky to have amazing friends. I always go out of my way to make sure my family members feel loved but me and my siblings may not always agree on everything.
  • Jesus is nailed to the cross
  • Reflection: I let others help me in anyway they can but sometimes I just need to be left alone. I am always there for my friends and family and help them get through tough times anyway I can. People always need help and so we should always be there for them.
  • Jesus dies on the cross
  • Reflection: I always treat everyone the same regardless of their background. I think that everyone should be treated with respect and kindness. I think we can all help to spread awareness about marginalised communities and how they are affected.
  • Jesus is taken down from the cross
  • Reflection: Currently I'm not struggling with anything major but going into highschool is always a big thing for everyone to adapt to. I have struggled and fallen before but have recovered from it.
  • Jesus is lain in the tomb
  • The stations of the cross
  • Reflection: I think that everyone has pain, but some people definitely need more help to get through their pain than others, so sometimes we can all put our pain aside to help others get through theirs. Rather than waiting on our problems or worries to solve themselves, causing ourselves pain, we should try to help solve our problems. if you are worrying about climate change then you could find other ways of transport than a car or install solar panels.
  • Reflection: A big inspiration for me is my parents. They are great role models, and are full of kindness. I hope I will be as great parents as they are.
  • reflection: when others disrespect me i make sure to tell a parent or trusted adult. i think everyone in their lifetime will have shown disrespect to someone, including me. i try to learn from my mistakes but no one is perfect.
  • Reflection: I try to forgive others, sometimes that may take from minutes, to months, to years, but I think people definitely change and that most people should be forgiven. I try admit I am wrong and say sorry as soon as possible, this is so we can live in the present and not have to spend time worrying.
  • Reflection: I feel upset when I lose something, whether that be something small like losing a soccer match or something bigger like someone passing away. I quickly get over the small things but bigger things can take a long time to heal. I think I am in touch with how I feel and try not to push my feelings away.
  • Reflection: I haven't had to "bury" any relationships as I try to keep healthy relationships with my family and friends.
  • Reflection: a cross I am carrying is probably the worlds problems. everyday on the news you see a new problem such as climate change, or violence.
