  • 1-Ms.Noor: What about Buddhism?
  • 2- Malak :The conclusion of Buddhism is that the Buddha told his disciples: Monks, the aim of the religious life is not to gain material profit, nor to win veneration, nor to reach the highest morality, nor to be capable of the highest mental concentration. Monks, the ultimate end of the religious life is the unshakeable liberation of the mind.

  • 1- Ms. Noor:Can you tell me what is the impact of Buddhism on Indian Civilisation ?
  • The greatest contribution of Buddhism was the establishment of a simple religion which could be easily understood and followed by the common people. The most fascinating contribution of Buddhism to India was in the field of sculptures and architectures. Buddhist art and sculpture developed with the spread of Buddhism. In art and architecture, stone was used from Asoka's time. Numerous stupas, chaityas and pillars were constructed.Buddhism taught people to cultivate simple values like truth, nonviolence, brotherhood, etc. Humanity should be the greatest of all only then will we be able to build up an equal and healthy society. When Mahayana started worshipping the image of Buddha, it influenced Hindus to worship their different gods.
