- A couple meets and spends lots of time together getting to know one another. They fall in love!! They both commit to wait until marriage to be intimate, therefore abstinence is their method to protect from STDs and unplanned pregnancy.
- The couple gets married! They have created the first stage of the family life cycle: Beginning.They decide to use the barrier method to protect against pregnancy so they can travel and stabilize their new careers before having children.
- A couple years later the couple stops using condoms and tries to get pregnant. They experience a year of unsuccessful attempts and one miscarriage. They go see a fertility specialist to help.
- The wife now plans to take her daily temperature to determine ovulation, as well as get her body healthy and prepared to carry a child.
- Contractions begin and its time to go to the hospital!
- TWINS!!! What an amazing blessing! Now the couple decides to use an IUD to prevent pregnancy for the next 3-5 years when they plan to have another child.
