- the Cherokee felt very cheated and mistreated by the British not helping them from the French therefore stole there horse. The British then attacked them and the Cherokee retaliated. Cherokee chiefs tried to serve as ‘emissaries’ which ended up making them hostages. To sum up the rest, the Cherokee lost... badly
